THE SWING AND THE SWAGGER…
It’s hard to nail an exact moment when Good Shot Judy came to life.
It could have been when brothers Brett and Jeff Cahoon stepped away from the success they’d achieved with their punk band Ten Years from Now and chose instead to see what they could do with the old-time jazz standards they’d admired for so long. The brothers Cahoon formed a small combo, and – wouldn’t you know it? – plenty of others felt the same groove.
 

On Saturday, 8/3/2024, Caleb Dillard will return to Flat Iron Crossroads with The Blue Ridge Hombres and special guest, Paige Emily! Warming up the stage is Nick Kump who will go on at 6:30pm. Doors open at 5:30pm along with food truck, The Pull Up.
 

LFD brings the experience of being at a Grateful Dead concert to life at this beautiful venue, Flat Iron Crossroads. We're proud to be a part of this year's concert series and to help continue this unique musical tradition in Gloucester, VA.

The show will be opened by Dead Rise from 5:00-6:00pm. Last Fair Deal will perform from 6:30-9:30pm. We anticipate the show being outdoors with vendor, Rock Chakra and food truck, Get Cheesy. Doors open at 4:00pm - bring a lawn chair, blanket, and grab a drink at the FIX' Bar inside.
 

Over 25 years in the making, Jim Quick and Coastline, like their namesake the Atlantic Coastline Railroad, have been traveling the "tracks" of the southeast, and connecting with the hearts of loyal "Coastline Crazies." Pulling from the threads of Soul, Blues, R&B, and Americana, Jim Quick and Coastline weave together their own genre of music known as Swamp Soul.
 

Annapolis Maryland-based trio, Pressing Strings, loosely tied to indie, soul, and groove music is build by the instinct, imagination and inspiration of Jordan Sokel (Guitar/Vocals), Nick Welker (Bass, Vocals), and Justin Kruger (Drums, Vocals). They draw on iconic influences such as the usual suspects — Dylan, Marley, Simon, Withers, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, etc., as well as some more under the radar artists like Taj Mahal, R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, and Nick Drake.
 

Join us in Gloucester, VA on Saturday, 9/7/2024 for an evening of folk, bluegrass, and original tunes with sweet vocals and acoustic instrumentation with Bill & Pam Gurley and Friends. Doors and food truck, The Pull Up, open at 5:30pm. The show starts at 6:30pm. Children ages 12 & under at free.
