SUMMARY:SKYDOG
DESCRIPTION:$30/$35\nBuy now\n\n\nSkydog\, based in Richmond\, Virginia\, has earned acclaim for its uncanny ability to transport audiences back to the late 1960s and early 1970s with their faithful recreation of the Allman Brothers Band’s iconic sound. Known for their intricate jams\, soulful blues\, and emotional depth\, Skydog embodies the spirit of Southern rock at its finest. Their performances are not just tributes—they’re transformative journeys that capture the essence of one of rock’s most legendary bands. The band features a powerhouse lineup of current and former members of renowned acts such as Carbon Leaf\, Lee Roy Parnell\, DJ Williams Projekt\, Dickey Betts’ Great Southern\, and the Cris Jacobs Band. This depth of experience fuels their ability to craft deeply authentic renditions of classics from *At Fillmore East* to *Eat a Peach* and beyond. Skydog’s sound is a perfect blend of harmonized guitars\, swirling keys\, grooving rhythms\, and electrifying dual drumming that honors the original Allman Brothers Band’s legacy. With Jeremy D. Simmons on bass and vocals\, Willie Williams and Brian Fones on guitars and vocals\, Joey Ciucci on keys\, and the dual percussion talents of Jason Neal and Dusty Ray Simmons\, the band delivers extended\, exploratory jams that leave audiences exhilarated. Skydog doesn’t just recreate the Allman Brothers’ music; they channel the emotional highs\, raw power\, and unrestrained joy that defined the band’s live performances during their prime.Critics and fans alike praise Skydog for their ability to bring the Allman Brothers’ music to life. Richmond Magazine described their shows as “a time machine to the heyday of the Allman Brothers Band\,” while fans often remark on the sense of joy and connection the band fosters during their concerts. Their ability to dive into deep\, soulful jams while maintaining the exuberance and spontaneity of the original group has made them a favorite for both die-hard ABB fans and new listeners alike. \nShow Date   June 13\, 2026\nTickets: $30/online  $35/door\nDoors open 5:30 pm Show starts 6:30 pm\nOutdoor show – weather permitting\nFood available for purchase\nWine\, beer\, and soft drinks are available at the FIX Bar\nLocation: 7709 Flat Iron Road\, Gloucester\, VA 23061 \nPlease note: Physical tickets are not distributed. SUMMARY:Rebecca Frazier & Band - POSTPONED
DESCRIPTION:THIS SHOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED. \nBluegrass luminary Rebecca Frazier gained notoriety as the first woman to grace the cover of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine. In 2018\, the Virginia native also became the first woman to earn a Guitar Performer of the Year nomination from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA)\, an honor she received again in 2019.\nRebecca Frazier’s lifelong journey between mountains and coastal waters is the backdrop for her flagship 2024 Compass Records release\, BOARDING WINDOWS IN PARADISE\, a tour de force album of bluegrass and acoustic roots music which landed on No Depression music journal’s “Americana Ten” and debuted at #4 on Billboard Bluegrass charts. \nFrazier’s compelling original songs range from hard driving to thoughtful emotive folk. A bevy of acoustic A-listers such as Béla Fleck (banjo)\, Sam Bush (mandolin)\, and Stuart Duncan (fiddle) flavor her music with the wisdom and grace she is striving to present as she captures life’s juxtapositions with her new music.\nFrazier’s bond with GRAMMY-winning producer Bill Wolf\, known for working with Tony Rice and Grateful Dead\, was the catalyst for the significant caliber of musicianship in her recordings. \nGRAMMY-winning banjoist and producer Alison Brown notes\, “Rebecca Frazier is an important voice among the group of women whose musical talents and creative visions are recasting bluegrass. A triple threat\, she sings\, plays\, and writes with fire and grace\, and her new record is not to be missed.”\nFrazier is widely known for her work with Colorado-based outfit Hit & Run\, the only band to score the bluegrass-world trifecta of winning Rockygrass\, Telluride and SPBGMA festival band competitions.  \nTickets: $20 advance online / $25 at door.\nDoors open 5:30 pm Show 6:30 pm\nLocation: 7709 Flat Iron Road\, Gloucester\, VA.\nFood available for purchase.
