DESCRIPTION:$20/$25 \nBuy now \n\n\n  \nFurnace Mountain Band is returning to Flat Iron for a second time to play American Appalachian Music both traditional and original. \nDoors open at 5:30pm\nShow starts at 6:30pm\nFood Truck: TBD\nIndoor / Outdoor Performance (Weather Permitting)\nTickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.\nWe are located at 7709 Flat Iron Rd\, Gloucester\, VA 23061 \nThe region is situated between the Appalachian hills of West Virginia and the culturally diverse and ever-changing Washington\, D.C.\, metropolitan area\, and is known for producing musicians who transcend generic categories\, deftly taking traditional music styles in new directions. Furnace Mountain Band\, named for a mountain near where all the members grew up\, consists of some of the most innovative and gifted musicians in Virginia. \nFurnace Mountain consists of Aimee Curl on bass and vocals\, Dave Van Deventer on fiddle and vocals\, and Morgan Morrison on guitar\, bouzouki\, and vocals\, Danny Knicely on mandolin and fiddle. The band creates music that is at times lively and raucous\, with spirited fiddle melodies weaving in and around the powerful rhythms of the bass and bouzouki\, and other times poignant and poetic\, with sublime vocal harmonies beautifully interpreting some of the oldest songs ever written. \nFurnace Mountain Band has performed throughout the world\, from the Yangtze River in China to the banks of the Shenandoah River\, where they are the host band of Watermelon Pickers’ Festival. Furnace Mountain Band plays music from the American Appalachian traditions\, as well as original compositions\, and songs penned by their favorite song writing friends. \n \nPlease note: Physical tickets are not distributed. Jenny Langer is a 4x Wammie-winning powerhouse vocalist that casts with the soul of artists like Etta James and Aretha Franklin and the fire of a modern-day blues siren. \nLanger called Washington DC home for 16 years and is now based in Nashville. She is the vocalist of The Boneshakers\, Moonshine Society\, and The Ron Holloway Band. She released Live To Be This with The Boneshakers in July\, which hit Top 10 on the Billboard Blues Chart. Special guests included Bobby Rush\, Charlie Musselwhite\, Don Was\, Coco Montoya\, and more. Prior to that\, she was inducted into the Virginia Blues Hall of Fame and won the 2020 Int’l Blues Challenge for Best Self-Produced Album. \n \nERIC SCOTT BAND —————————————————–\nWashington\, DC singer/songwriter and bassist Eric Scott has thus far had an interesting musical and life journey. As an artist and sideman\, he has toured internationally\, sharing the stage with B.B. King\, Mavis Staples\, Aaron Neville\, PCO (Pino Paladino\, Chris Potter)\, Roger Waters\, and many more. He’s written\, produced\, and released 6 solo albums\, and his music has been featured on ABC-TV\, Showtime\, Cinemax\, The WIL\, as well as several indie and major motion pictures. His singing voice has been featured in international and regional campaigns for H&M\, NAT GEO\, Ford\, Chevy\, Jeep\, Chrysler\, DC Lottery\, and many more.
