SUMMARY:Reid Harrison Tribute with The Dimeslots
DESCRIPTION:Free \nBuy now \n\n\n  \nThis show is a celebration of life for our cherished friend and volunteer\, Reid Harrison. He was instrumental in the early stages of inception with sound and production\, booking talented artists\, developing our website\, and is the voice behind this special slideshow: https://youtu.be/Nscv8MV-phQ \nReid Harrison was a writer and television producer\, known for The Simpsons (1989)\, George & Leo (1997) and Disenchantment (2018). He died on 15 January 2024 in the USA. \nOn Saturday\, April 13th\, The Dimeslots reunite to pay tribute to the life of our long-time friend and bass-player\, Reid Harrison at one of Virginia’s hottest entertainment destinations\, Flat Iron Crossroads (FIX). FIX is located a couple of miles from Reid’s Gloucester home\, and is where he frequently volunteered. There will be food\, drink and TONS of fun and memories!! We hope you can join us!! \nThe Dimeslots\, est. 1979\, were born in the W&M freshmen dorm room of Ed Lull and Brian Mount when Bill Williams joined his across-the-hall mates to play some rock and roll. Keyboard player Mike Shields (a teammate of Ed and Brian’s) had already expressed an interest in forming a band and had some bumper-stickers and a farfisa organ. Within a couple of weeks the group started playing regularly in the nearby girls’ dorm Barrett where there was a piano in the lounge…. \nBy the following Fall\, Reid Harrison joined the band and we went “electric”. Before the end of the year\, Neil Sherman and Gary Littlepage joined the band. When Gary left the area\, Bill Grossman stepped in to carry the load. Then\, about 10 years later we asked Deeme & Shep to play with us too\, and by then we pretty much let anybody else join… \nStill playing after 40 years.. \n  \n\n\nFree \nBuy now \n\n\n

SUMMARY:Runnin' Shine
DESCRIPTION:$20.00 \nBuy now \n\n\n  \nRunnin’ Shine will perform in Gloucester\, VA on 4/20/2024! The doors will open at 5:30pm and the show starts at 6:30pm. The food truck will be “Taste of the North” based out of Richmond\, serving Canadian style menu and burgers. \nRunnin’ Shine is a hot country act with its members hailing from Virginia by way of Alabama\, New York\, and New Hampshire. Playing together since February of 2015\, Runnin’ Shine is a tight\, four-piece comprised of Janice Chandler on vocals and acoustic guitar\, Richie Bohr on lead electric guitar\, Bill Snow on drums\, and Jim Cahoon on the bass. Brought together by really good luck and a few mutual friends\, each player gives a unique energy and experience to the band. Their high-energy rockin’ country show has named them Veer Magazine 2019\, 2021 and 2022 Country Artist of the Year\, and their clever original song\, “The D” was chosen as a Finalist in the Great American Song Writing contest. \nEven people who don’t like county music have a fantastic time at every Runnin’ Shine show. They play songs from many genres all mashed up into their country songs just to keep you on your toes. With perfectly blended 3-part harmonies and a sassy\, rock and roll swagger\, Runnin’ Shine will bring a party you won’t soon forget. \nRunnin’ Shine’s first full-length album “So There We Were\,” shared insight into (mostly) true stories that the band members and their friends have experienced. From a few crazy nights on the town where there was way too much tequila involved\, all the way to a car wreck in the Taco Bell drive thru\, the songs written by Janice Chandler let the listener directly into her heart which is filled with tenderness and rage. The straightforward lyrics that tell you exactly how it is\, just the way country music should; through the stories we have lived. Their single\, “Shotgun\,” which was released in 2019 to country radio made top 40 on the Country Music Row chart\, and their song released in 2020\, “The Way You Need Me” reached 43. \nRunnin’ Shine’s resume includes opening for Lanco\, Parmelee\, Billy Ray Cyrus\, Michael Ray\, Radio Romance\, Colt Ford\, and Jimmie Allen. They have also played at the VIP lounge at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach for Country Superstars such as Jason Aldean\, Brad Paisley\, Rascal Flatts\, Florida Georgia Line\, Luke Combs\, Brantley Gilbert\, Luke Bryan\, and many others. Runnin’ Shine has headlined at festivals such as the Chesapeake Jubilee and the Knotts Island Peach Festival. \nWith an ever-evolving set list\, and Music Row charted original music\, Runnin’ Shine is well-known for their professionalism as well as their ability to ensure each show is unique to fit the audience it serves. The release of their sophomore album\, “Nowhere to Go” has proven that Runnin’ Shine is a force to be reckoned with. Winning the Josie Music Award for best music video for a group for their song\, The Way You Need Me\, Runnin’ Shine is making a name for themselves in Nashville\, and beyond! \n \n  \n\n\n$20.00 \nBuy now \n\n\n
