A musician’s musician\, Danny has a chameleon-like ability to fit into any musical situation\, and his prolific collaborations span from traditional Appalachian music to jazz\, from bluegrass to global fusion projects. \nGrowing up in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley with a lifelong musical eclecticism sparked by childhood exposure to Django Reinhardt\, Danny has become deeply revered not only for his instrumental mastery but also for his singing\, flatfoot dancing\, and his role as musical director for the Mountain Music Project.
